Frequently asked questions

Can a foreign haulier get a Spanish fuel card?

Yes. Companies established in other EU countries can apply. The issuer reviews each application and may ask for a guarantee depending on volume and payment terms.

Is the card price shown with or without VAT?

Professional tariffs are quoted excluding VAT. We also show the price including Spanish VAT (21%) so you can compare it with the pump price, which includes all taxes.

Can I reclaim Spanish VAT on diesel?

EU businesses can reclaim VAT paid in Spain through the tax authority of their own country, under the EU VAT refund procedure. The deadline for one year’s VAT is 30 September of the following year.
